Getting started

Setting Up Your Shop

Your Shop is your page on ED Commerce. It shows your published Listings under the name you trade as, and it has a link you can share anywhere: Facebook, group chats, your bio.

Everything here is in the Seller Hub, on the My Shop tab.

Name your Shop

  1. Open the Seller Hub and choose My Shop.
  2. Type a Shop name.
  3. Choose Create My Shop.

A good name is the one Buyers already know you by. It doesn't have to be your legal name.

  • It can be 2 to 60 characters, with at least one letter or number.
  • No two Shops share a name. If yours is taken, pick another.
  • Names that could be mistaken for ED Commerce itself, such as "Support", "Admin" or "Official", are not allowed.

Your Shop name shows on every Listing you sell and at the top of your Shop. To rename your Shop, change the name and choose Save Changes.

Share your link

When you first save a name, we make your Shop link from it. "Mabini Reviewers" becomes edcommerceapp.com/shop/mabini-reviewers.

  • Choose Copy to copy the link, or View My Shop to open your Shop.
  • The link never changes, even if you rename your Shop. Anything you have already shared keeps working.
  • Only published Listings appear on your Shop. Drafts, and Listings waiting for Review, stay private.

Shop appearance

Once your Shop has a name, Shop Appearance appears under it: your Shop logo, Tagline and Shop theme. They style your Shop page only. Listing pages, the cart and checkout keep the ED Commerce look.

  • Choose Upload logo and pick a picture: JPG, PNG or WebP.
  • Your logo is shown as a square, so a square picture works best. A picture of another shape is cropped to a square around its main subject.
  • Have a profile photo on your account? Choose Use my profile photo to use it as your logo. We never use it unless you choose this, because your Shop is public.
  • Choose Remove to take your logo off. A Shop without a logo shows its initials instead.

Tagline

Your Tagline is the one line under your Shop name. Say what you sell and who it is for, like "Reviewers for Grade 10 Science and Math".

  • Up to 160 characters.
  • Plain text only. Links, email addresses and phone numbers are not allowed, because Buyers reach you and pay you through ED Commerce.
  • Choose Save Tagline. To remove it, clear the box and save.

Shop theme

A Shop theme sets your Shop's accent colour, fonts, corners and header. There are 6: Classic, Sunrise, Midnight, Garden, Blush and Graphite.

  1. Pick a theme from the list. The preview under it shows your Shop in that theme.
  2. Choose Save Theme.

Every theme works in light and dark mode, and follows each visitor's own setting. A Shop that has never picked a theme shows Classic.

An admin can reset a Shop's appearance if it breaks the rules. That clears its Tagline and Shop logo and returns it to Classic.
